BAR BROUW’S SECOND VENUE

Remember the guys from Bar Brouw? For these gentleman smoked meat is a way of living. And after a good period of having one packed night after the other at their current location owners Tim van Dijk and Sjoerd Brinkman got inspired to open their second venue. This new venue will open halfway this month, keep an eye out on there Facebook page, in Amsterdam East at the Beukenplein. So finally it’s also time for the smoked meat lovers of the East part of the city to enjoy Bar Brouw’s juicy and biological smoked meat, whiskies and craft beer!

The new location still holds the same delicious menu as the first, inspired by the States where the most diverse assortment of smoked meat has found itself a glorious home. Like for instance one of the most famous smoked meats like Katz’ authentic Jewish Pastrami. They may not serve it (yet) at Bar Brouw but you can definitely hear me shout “I’ll have what she’s having” from one of the tables. Also did you know that smoking meat is something that dates back to prehistoric time. Combining the removal of moisture and the antibacterial qualities of smoke-absorption makes it a very practical way to store meat. Over time it has developed from necessity to culture specific, Jewish Pastrami (hmmmmmm Pastrami on rye ………… *dribbles on keyboard*), all the way around the world to a delicious delicacy in our time.

I hope that reading this made you crave for some pulled pork sandwich and smoked chicken salad for lunch or a Black Angus burger, pork ribs or maybe a brisket for dinner. Because it certainly made me crave for some juicy meat!
